Pedestrian Injured in Oildale Hit-and-Run Crash on Norris Road
OILDALE, CA (May 26, 2021) – A pedestrian was injured after a suspected hit-and-run crash on Norris Road in Oildale.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident occurred late Wednesday night. Officers reported the incident shortly after 10:30 pm.
According to CHP, a vehicle struck a male pedestrian for an unknown reason in Oildale. The driver involved hit him at 612 Norris Road between Airport Drive and McCray Street.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene. They found the 77-year-old man left wounded as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then provided treatment to the patient for the unspecified injuries he sustained from the impact. Officials did not disclose his name and condition at this time.
Meanwhile, initial reports indicated that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the elderly pedestrian and fled the area. However, CHP mentioned that they later located the vehicle at the site.
Officers forced Norris Road to close following the accident. Authorities are still searching for the suspect. The cause of the Oildale hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
