Pedestrian Injured in Oildale Hit-and-Run at Washington Avenue and Airport Drive
OILDALE, CA (August 24, 2021) – A pedestrian was injured after a hit-and-run crash at Washington Avenue and Airport Drive in Oildale.
The California Highway Patrol received a call about the accident on Tuesday afternoon. Officers reported the collision at about 4:04 p.m.
According to their dispatch, a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in Oildale. The driver hit the victim at the intersection of Washington Avenue and Airport Drive.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the North Beardsley Park. They found the person left wounded as a result of the incident.
Medical personnel then provided treatment to the victim for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the incident. Officials did not disclose the name of the patient and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to help the pedestrian and fled the area. Officers forced the intersection of Washington Avenue and Airport Drive to shut down following the collision.
The cause of the Oildale hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
