Bicycle Rider Injured in Ojai Crash on Highway 150 Near Reeves Road
OJAI, CA (May 18, 2021) – A bicycle rider was hospitalized after an accident on Highway 150, known as East Ojai Avenue, in Ojai.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team received a call about the collision on Tuesday afternoon. Officers reported the crash shortly after 12 p.m.
According to CHP, a vehicle struck the bicyclist for an unknown reason in Ojai. The driver collided with the bicycle rider at 3277 Highway 150.
Bicyclist Hit by Vehicle on East Ojai Avenue
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Reeves Road. They found the cyclist in the roadway and suffering from a head injury as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the wounded party to the Ventura County Medical Center for treatment. Officials did not release the name of the patient and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the motorist stopped or if they sustained any wound following the wreck. Officers forced the area to shut down after the accident.
Authorities are still determining the cause of the Ojai bicycle accident.
