Olga Adelaida hit-and-run Yuba City
Olga Adelaida, 36, Injured in Yuba City Hit-and-Run at Highway 20 and Gray Avenue
YUBA CITY, CA (November 13, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash injured Olga Adelaida at Highway 20 and Gray Avenue in Yuba City.
The California Highway Patrol identified the 36-year-old Yuba City resident as one of the victims in the collision which happened on Wednesday.
The incident began when Olga Adelaida was driving a 2008 Chrysler minivan east in the No. 3 lane of Highway 20 in Yuba City. At the same time, a motorcyclist and a white sedan were traveling in the No. 2 lane.
For an unknown reason, the white car crossed the intersection of Gray Avenue and failed to see the rider to the right. The sedan turned to the right in an attempt to enter the west entrance of the AM/PM.
The man on the motorcycle braked but hit the right side of the car which then continued to the right. In the process, the impact pushed the rider directly in front of Olga Adelaida.
CHP said the minivan collided with the motorcyclist and the white vehicle. The bike went off the road, overturned on the sidewalk and slid into a tree.
Suspect Hits Motorcycle and Van, Flees Scene
Olga Adelaida sustained minor injuries as a result of the Yuba City crash. Paramedics soon provided treatment to the patient at the site.
The rider became pinned between the motorcycle and the tree. Medical personnel took him to the UC Davis Medical Center with major injuries.
The Appeal Democrat wrote that the wreck took place on November 10 at around 6 p.m. Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the driver of the sedan did not stop to render aid to the victims and fled the area.
They described the car as a Chevy Cruze from 2011-2016 with possible damage to its right front door and fender and a missing right side mirror.
Officers are still searching for the hit-and-run suspect who left Olga Adelaida wounded. The Yuba City hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
