At Least 1 Killed in Collision Near Mcgowan Parkway Offramp Wednesday
Olivehurst, CA (February 9, 2022) – The California Highway Patrol group reported a fatal car accident that occurred on State Route 70 Wednesday afternoon.
Officials said a dark-colored pickup truck crashed on SR-70 near Mcgowan Parkway offramp in Olivehurst. Initial records indicated the pickup truck careened towards the center median and eventually slammed into the barrier.
The CHP logged the case at about 2:45 p.m.
When emergency crews arrived at the location, they found the vehicle plunged down the ditch. Rescue teams hooked up the pickup and tried to pull it back onto the roadway.

Responding medical personnel attended to all the parties involved in the collision. Sadly, one person sadly succumbed to their injuries and died. The identity of the fatal victim remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
