Pedestrian Killed in Olivehurst Crash on George Avenue
OLIVEHURST, CA (March 27, 2022) – A crash killed a pedestrian on George Avenue in Olivehurst.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the tragic accident took place on Sunday night. Officers reported the collision at about 9:31 p.m.
CHP said a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in the area of Olivehurst. The driver hit the person at 4128 George Avenue near McGowan Parkway.
Victim Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics then arrived at the scene near Highway 70. They found the victim down on the ground as a result of the incident.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the patient dead. The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the driver stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the victim. Officers forced a stretch of George Avenue to shut down following the collision.
The cause of the fatal Olivehurst pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
