1 Injured in Olivehurst Hit-and-Run Crash at Grand Avenue and Feather River Boulevard
OLIVEHURST, CA (August 30, 2021) – At least one was injured after a hit-and-run crash at Grand Avenue and Feather River Boulevard in Olivehurst.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident occurred on Monday morning. Officers reported the wreck at about 8:20 a.m.
According to CHP, a Ford Escape and another vehicle collided for an unknown reason in Olivehurst. The two crashed at the intersection of Grand Avenue and Feather River Boulevard.
2 Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Yuba County Airport. They found one person who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then provided treatment to the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the incident. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded victim and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the driver of the Ford abandoned their car and jumped over a fence near the airport. The motorist fled on foot.
Officers forced the area of Grand and Feather River to shut down following the wreck. The Olivehurst hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
