1 Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash at Olivehurst Avenue and 11th Avenue
OLIVERHURST, CA (August 24, 2021) – At least one was injured after a hit-and-run crash at Olivehurst Avenue and 11th Avenue.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident late Sunday night. Officers reported the wreck on August 22 at about 10:14 p.m. in Olivehurst.
According to their dispatch, two vehicles collided for an unknown reason. They crashed at the intersection of Olivehurst Avenue and 11th Avenue.
2 Cars Collide
CHP described the cars as a blue Mazda truck and a Mustang. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Yuba Gardens School.
They found one person left wounded as a result of the collision. Medical personnel then treated the victim for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the accident.
Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded patient and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that one of the drivers involved abandoned their vehicle and fled on foot.
Officers forced the area of Olivehurst Avenue and 11th Avenue to shut down following the hit-and-run crash. The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
