Olivia Enriquez West and Leland West Killed in Sun Valley Car Accident
SUN VALLEY (April 13, 2019) – Two people killed after an alleged street racing hit-and-run crash at San Fernando Road and Lankershim Boulevard in Sun Valley Friday have been identified.
Olivia Enriquez West, a 59-year-old Sun Valley resident, and her husband of 25 years, Leland West, died following the accident which occurred on April 12 at about 7:10 p.m.
Police said a 2015 white Dodge Charger was speeding east on San Fernando Road, possibly racing a dark-colored Dodge Charger, when it broadsided the Toyota Corolla.
According to KTLA, the Corolla occupied by the couple was making a left turn from San Fernando Road to Lankershim Boulevard when it was hit by the Charger.

Fire department officials along with the paramedics responded to the site and pronounced the two occupants of the Toyota, Olivia and Leland, dead at the scene.
Police affirmed that the driver of the white Dodge, a 25-year-old Pacoima woman, and her female passenger were transported to the hospital with severe injuries. A third occupant was hospitalized for minor wounds and later released.
Meanwhile, the driver of the other Charger did not stop and took off. The incident remains under investigation.
