3 Injured in Crash on US Highway 395 in Omira
LASSEN COUNTY, Calif. (May 4, 2022) — Three people were injured in a rollover crash on US Highway 395 near Constantia Road in Omira, Lassen County.
The collision occurred in the northbound lanes about 6:42 a.m. on May 4th, near the California-Nevada border, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported a Dodge pickup truck overturned onto its roof and lost a wheel during the collision. The vehicle may have collided head-on with a white Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, but the CHP dispatch report has conflicting information. Some passersby stopped to help those involved in the crash. One man suffered a head injury, but he was conscious.
Paramedics responded to help those injured in the crash. One was classified as “walking wounded” and two others needed an ambulance due to more serious injuries.
The cause of the crash and liability remain unknown, but the CHP is investigating.
