ONTARIO, California (December 17, 2014) – John Cuevas, 29, of Ontario was killed Saturday afternoon in a pedestrian accident at the intersection of Inland Empire Boulevard and Center Avenue, according to a press release by the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner.
The pedestrian traffic accident was reported about 2:45 p.m. on Saturday, December 13. Cuevas was in the crosswalk when he was hit by a driver. Paramedics responded and transported him to the Loma Linda University Medical Center where he later died of his injuries.
The Ontario Police Department is heading up an investigation into the accident to determine liability.
“My condolences go out to the family of Mr. Cuevas as they cope with his sudden loss and try to piece together how this happened,” said Attorney James Johnson.
