Car Hit by Truck, Collides with Patrol Vehicle
PALM SPRINGS, California (May 12, 2016) – One was hurt after a traffic collision caused a car to hit a patrol vehicle Thursday in the area of Dinah Shore Drive and Crossley Road, according to KESQ. (map)
Palm Springs police said two vehicles collided just before noon. One of the two was forced into a police cruiser which was stopped at the intersection at the time.
As per the article, a truck, possibly an 18-wheeler, struck a sedan which appeared to be a BMW. The car then spun and crashed into the patrol vehicle.
The driver of the sedan suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene. The officer was unharmed.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the incident.
