At Least 4 Cars Involved
SACRAMENTO, California (July 26, 2016) – One was hospitalized after a multi-vehicle collision on the eastbound 80 Freeway Tuesday evening, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.
The crash involving at least four vehicles was reported at 6:19 p.m., just west of Raley Boulevard off-ramp. The cars involved were described as a blue Honda Accord, white Mazda 6, a white Mitsubishi Lancer and a black Chevrolet.
As per the incident log, fire department personnel along with the paramedics responded to the scene and attended to a person who sustained minor injuries in the wreck. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital for further medical assessment and aid.
Meanwhile, CHP mentioned in the dispatch that the accident was a hit-and-run, although it was not immediately confirmed.
Authorities will continue to investigate the cause of the collision to determine liability.
