SANTA CLARITA, California (August 26, 2016) – One was hospitalized after a multi-vehicle collision on Highway 14 early Friday morning, according to Santa Clarita Valley Signal.
The accident involving five vehicles took place at 3:37 a.m.
As per the article, California Highway Patrol said the driver of a 2004 Toyota lost control, hit a bridge abutment on the right shoulder and ended up facing the wrong direction in traffic.
Subsequently, the 2004 Toyota was struck by a 2009 Volvo tractor trailer, a 1997 Land Rover with a utility trailer, a 2016 Dodge Ram and a 2016 Lexus.
CHP added that the Land Rover rolled over and landed on the bridge abutment, partially hanging over the Santa Clara River.
The 52-year-old man driving the Land Rover was taken to Henry Mayo Hospital with minor injuries. The 19-year-old man behind the Toyota also sustained minor injuries.
Authorities are still investigating the incident.
