One Injured in Crash on Highway 101 Near San Martin Avenue

SAN MARTIN, Calif. (June 9, 2026) — At least one person was injured in a traffic collision Tuesday morning on northbound U.S. Highway 101 near the San Martin area, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported on June 9th shortly before 9:55 a.m. on northbound Highway 101 just north of the Scales Road area. Initial reports indicated a white Nissan had been rear-ended by another vehicle, with one vehicle stopped in the far-left lane and lane No. 1 blocked.
Emergency crews responded to the scene, and firefighters temporarily shut down the No. 1 lane while assisting those involved. One person was transported for medical treatment, though the extent of injuries was not immediately available.
By about 10:43 a.m., all lanes had reopened, and the involved parties were moved to the San Martin exit area as officers continued their investigation.
Authorities later classified the incident as a minor-injury collision. Both vehicles were taken from the scene, according to CHP logs.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
