One Injured in Two-Vehicle Highway 99w Crash in Tehama County

RED BLUFF, Calif. (July 31, 2026) – A two-vehicle crash left at least one person injured Thursday afternoon on Highway 99w near the Walmart Distribution Center in Tehama County.
According to the California Highway Patrol the collision occurred around 4 p.m. on Thursday, July 30th when a driver in a black Acura sedan pulled out from the parking lot into the path of an oncoming Ford Mustang.
Detectives working on the case stated the blue Mustang was southbound on the highway and had the right of way. The Mustang reportedly overturned onto its roof and the Audi was torn in half during the impact.
However, despite the mangled wreckage, CHP officials do not suspect speed was a factor in the crash.
Paramedics transported the driver of the Acura to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and the condition of the driver in the Mustang was unknown at press time.
