ONTARIO, California (January 23, 2015) – Two people were killed Thursday night when another driver slammed into their disabled Jeep Cherokee on the westbound State Route 60 Freeway at Haven Avenue, according to a press release by the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner.
About 6:42 p.m., CHP officers reported that a driver in a 2000 Jeep Cherokee was hit after the vehicle stalled in the No. 1 lane of the 60 Freeway. The two people who were in the Jeep both died of their injuries at the scene of the crash. The driver who struck the car was unable to avoid the crash, police said.
“Police will investigate this crash and determine liability,” said Attorney James Johnson.
