Man, 26, Hit and Killed by Suspected DUI Driver on Mission Boulevard in Ontario

ONTARIO (January 5, 2018) – A man was killed after being struck by an alleged DUI driver on Mission Boulevard late Thursday night, according to San Bernardino Sun.

The deadly collision took place at around 11:45 p.m. in the 800 block of East Mission Boulevard near Campus Avenue

As per the article, Ontario police said a 26-year-old Chino man was pushing a disabled vehicle west on Mission Boulevard when he was hit by a car driven by Shayne Ary.

The victim suffered fatal injuries as a result of the accident. His name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.

Police affirmed that Ary was determined to have been drunk driving when the crash occurred. The 21-year-old Bakersfield man was arrested on suspicion of felony driving under the influence and gross vehicular manslaughter.

Meanwhile, the mother of the deceased victim was unharmed. She was steering the disabled vehicle at the time of the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
