Bicyclist Killed in Ontario Hit-and-Run Near Mission Boulevard and Cucamonga Avenue

ONTARIO, CA (August 3, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash killed a bicyclist near Mission Boulevard and Cucamonga Avenue in Ontario.

According to an article published by The Press Enterprise, the tragic accident occurred late Monday night. Officers reported the incident on August 2 at around 11 p.m.

Ontario police said a vehicle struck a man who was riding his bicycle at the time. The driver hit him for an unknown reason near the intersection of Mission Boulevard and Cucamonga Avenue.

Bicycle Rider Hit by Car

Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and then found the victim left lying on the ground. They soon pronounced him dead at the scene.

The name of the deceased cyclist has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, police affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the rider and fled the area.

The car involved possibly obtained damage to its front after hitting the bike. Officers forced the intersection of Mission and Cucamonga to shut down for hours following the collision.
