Man Killed in Ontario Crash on Guasti Road Near Cleveland Road
ONTARIO, CA (September 13, 2021) – A man was killed after a crash with a semi-truck on Guasti Road in Ontario.
According to an article published by The Daily Bulletin, the tragic accident took place on Monday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at around 2:45 p.m.
The incident happened when a minivan was going west on Guasti Road near Cleveland Road in Ontario. At the same time, the semi-truck was pulling out of a driveway onto Guasti.
Semi-Truck and Minivan Collide
Police said for an unknown reason the minivan then collided with the big rig. The van rolled onto its side upon impact, west of Milliken Avenue.
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and pronounced the man driving the minivan dead at the scene. His name remains unreleased pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police did not mention if the operator of the semi-truck sustained any injuries following the wreck. Officers forced a stretch of Guasti Road to shut down for hours after the collision.
The cause of the fatal Ontario crash is still under investigation.
