1 Injured in Ontario Hit-and-Run Crash on Westbound 10 Freeway
ONTARIO, CA (August 26, 2021) – At least one was injured after a hit-and-run crash on the 10 Freeway in Ontario.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident occurred on Thursday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 4:39 p.m.
According to CHP, a vehicle struck a silver Nissan Altima for an unknown reason in Ontario. The two crashed on the westbound 10 Freeway near the 15 Freeway and Milliken Avenue.
2 Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found an occupant of the Nissan Altima who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then provided treatment to the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the incident. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the other driver involved did not stop to render aid and fled the area. Officers forced the westbound lanes of the 10 Freeway to shut down following the wreck.
The cause of the Ontario hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
