ONTARIO: Jesus Martinez, 70, Fatally Hit on South Euclid Avenue
ONTARIO, California (May 20, 2016) – A 70-year-old pedestrian who was fatally struck on South Euclid Avenue Friday morning has been identified as Jesus Martinez, according to a statement released by San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office.
Martinez was flown to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center after he was reportedly hit by a vehicle. The 70-year-old Ontario man succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
As per the news release, the collision was reported at 7:40 a.m., just south of Acacia Street.
Meanwhile, the coroner’s office did not mention if the drive involved stopped and remained at the scene following the accident.
The incident remains under investigation.
