Costo Big Rig Collides with Tractor-Trailer
ONTARIO, California (August 15, 2016) – One was hospitalized after a truck accident on Highway 60 Monday night, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.
The wreck occurred at approximately 8:40 p.m., near Euclid Avenue off-ramp.
CHP first logged the incident when a Costco big rig went into the back of a tractor-trailer on eastbound Highway 60. One of the trucks involved caught fire following the crash.
As per the report log, fire department officials along with the paramedics responded to the scene and transported one driver to Loma Linda University Medical Center with injuries described as moderate.
Meanwhile, the dispatch identified the operator of the Costco as John Palmer. The tractor, which was carrying auto parts at the time, sustained major front-end damage upon impact.
Authorities will continue to investigate the cause of the accident.
