ORANGE, California (August 1, 2016) — A driver was allegedly speeding prior to a two-vehicle crash Monday morning on the southbound State Route 55 Costa Mesa Freeway, a California Highway Patrol report said.
The crash took place about 10:30 a.m. this morning near the Chapman Avenue off ramp.
The drivers of a silver Scion and a red Hyundai Sonata collided. Witnesses told authorities that the silver car had been weaving in and out of lanes prior to the crash.
Metro Net Fire Authority responded with paramedics to help someone in the red Nissan who required medical attention following the crash.
The collision is under investigation by police to determine liability.
