ORANGE, Calif. (June 1, 2018) – Hipolito Paez-Vazquez, 30, is suspected of driving drunk last night and plowing into a pickup truck leaving two road construction workers dead at East Santiago Canyon Road, according to a report by the Orange Police Department.
The collision took place about 8:50 p.m. on Thursday night. The pickup truck had been parked in a bike lane and the men were working nearby when the collision took place.
The victims died of their injuries at the scene of the crash. Police arrested the suspected DUI driver on charges of DUI and vehicular manslaughter.

Police are investigating this collision to determine fault. At this time, it is apparent that the suspected DUI driver is to blame for this collision and will be held responsible.
