
Multi-Vehicle Collision on I-405 Freeway
ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. (Jan. 17, 2025) — A crash involving several cars happened Friday on the 405 Freeway, near the 55 Freeway near the John Wayne Airport in Orange County.
The collision occurred in the southbound lanes of the I-405 around 7:37 a.m. on Jan. 17th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the drivers of a red sedan and a black sedan collided in the fast lane with airbags being deployed in one of the vehicles. A white Subaru Outback reportedly pulled to the right shoulder and three other vehicles were blocking the HOV and fast lanes.
A Toyota Corolla that was involved in the crash had major front-end damage and required a tow truck.
Meanwhile, paramedics responded to help anyone who suffered injuries in the traffic accident.
Investigators are working to determine liability for the crash on the 405 Freeway.
