Instructor and Student Injured in Helicopter Accident at John Wayne Airport

September 3, 2018 – Two people were injured after their helicopter made a hard landing at John Wayne Airport, according to KTLA News.
The incident happened on September 3, Monday, around 3:30 p.m.
Primary reports indicated a Cabri G2 helicopter crash landed, for reasons still under investigation, at a John Wayne Airport runway. First responders found the chopper tipped over on its side along runway 20L at Taxiway J.

Officials said two people, briefly identified as a flight instructor and student, suffered injuries as a result of the accident. The names of the victims have not been disclosed thus far.
As per the article, the chopper was released for removal by National Transportation Safety Board officials at 4:10 p.m.
