ORANGE, CA (July 24, 2021) – At least one was injured after a hit-and-run crash on the 57 Freeway in Orange.

The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place on Saturday morning. Officers reported the wreck shortly before 8 a.m.

CHP said two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in the city of Orange. They crashed on the southbound 57 Freeway, just south of Orangewood Avenue.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found a pregnant woman in one of the cars involved. She ended up hurt as a result of the collision.

They provided treatment to the victim for the unspecified injuries she sustained in the incident. Officials did not disclose her name and condition at this time.

Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the driver of the other vehicle did not stop to render aid and fled the area. Officers forced the southbound lanes of the 57 Freeway shut down following the wreck.

The cause of the Orange hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
