At Least 1 Hurt in Car, Pedestrian Accident on Garden Grove Freeway Tuesday
Orange, CA (August 24, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol group reported a suspected hit-and-run collision that occurred on State Route 22, also known as Garden Grove Freeway.
On Tuesday, a female party was reportedly standing in the traffic lanes of the freeway while clearing lanes.
Our sources indicated an oncoming vehicle failed to slow down, and struck the hand of the woman clearing lanes. The crash took place in the westbound side of Garden Grove Freeway near Interstate 5.
Shortly after 6:30 p.m., medical personnel arrived at the location. Responding paramedics immediately rendered aid to the woman with injuries. At this time, the name of the victim, and the extent of their trauma remained undisclosed.

Authorities mentioned the driver involved in the collision fled the scene. No immediate information was available on the hit-and-run suspect.
Investigators handling the case continue to work to determine several factors surrounding the hit-and-run crash in Orange.
