Motorcyclist Injured in Car Accident on 55 Freeway in Orange

ORANGE, Calif. (Feb. 17, 2025) — A motorcycle rider was injured Monday in a car accident on the Costa Mesa 55 Freeway, just south of Katella Avenue in Orange.

The California Highway Patrol reported the multi-vehicle collision on the southbound state Route 55 around 8:23 a.m. on Feb. 17th, 2025.

Five vehicles were involved in a collision, but there are no further details.

Paramedics responded to transport the injured rider to a hospital due to undisclosed minor injuries.

The driver of a Toyota who was involved stopped on the right shoulder of the freeway.

A tow truck removed the bike from the roadway and investigators are working to determine fault for the motorcycle crash on the 55 Freeway in Orange.
