Five Injured in School Bus and SUV Collision in Orange
ORANGE, Calif. (Dec. 16, 2024) – A crash between an Orange Unified School District bus and an SUV happened Monday on Santiago Canyon Road in Orange.
Five people were injured, including three adults and two 5-year-old children in the 6000 block of Santiago Canyon Road.
The incident occurred just after 3 p.m. on Dec. 16th near Red Rock Canyon Road and Library of the Canyon, according to Orange County Fire Authority.
The injured included two adults riding in the SUV, along with the bus driver and two children, the OC Register reports. All five people were transported by ambulances to a nearby hospital in serious but stable condition.
The black SUV had major front-end damage and was towed from the scene. The school bus had moderate damage on its driver’s side.
Investigators are working to determine the cause of the bus crash on Santiago Canyon Road in Orange.
