Stephanie De Rosas, 32, Arrested
ORANGE, California (May 13, 2016) — A 50-year-old Orange man identified as Steven Okamura died in a DUI crash that also injured two people at Chapman Avenue and Yorba Street Thursday, according to the Orange County Register.
The fiery crash took place about 8:42 p.m. when a 32-year-old Orange resident Stephanie De Rosas was traveling west on Chapman Avenue, rear-ended Okamura‘s car.
Okamura was pushed into the intersection, hitting a third vehicle before his car went up in flames.
As per the article, coroner’s office said Okamura died at the scene. De Rosas was seriously hurt while the third motorist sustained minor injuries.
The Orange County Fire Authority responded to the scene to douse the fire and paramedics transported two others drivers to a hospital for treatment.
Police arrested De Rosas and charged her with driving under the influence of alcohol following the crash.
The collision is under investigation by police.
