Elderly Passenger Possibly Injured in 2-Vehicle Crash
ORANGEVALE, Calif. (June 20, 2024) — A two-vehicle car accident happened Tuesday afternoon in Orangevale on Greenback Lane in Sacramento County.
The traffic accident occurred at around 12:33 PM on Tuesday June 17th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Two vehicles were involved in the head-on traffic collision. The drivers of a white GMC pickup truck and a blue Tesla or Toyota Prius collided due to unknown circumstances. The crash became a large traffic hazard at the intersection. It was was reported that an elderly driver was involved in the crash so precautionary measures were requested on scene. One vehicle was reported to not be drivable following the collision. The blue Tesla or Prius had severe front end damage as for the white GMC truck had moderate left side damage.
Paramedics responded and located those who were injured and transported them to the nearest hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
Investigators are working to determine who is at fault for the accident on Greenback Lane in Orangevale.
