1 Injured in Orangevale Hit-and-Run Crash on Greenback Lane
ORANGEVALE, CA (July 18, 2021) – At least one was injured after a hit-and-run crash on Greenback Lane in Orangevale.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the wreck took place on Sunday morning. Officers reported the accident shortly after 9:30 a.m.
According to CHP, a white Volkswagen Jetta went off the road and slammed into a wall in Orange. A reckless driver pushed the Volkswagen and caused it to crash in the 9200 block of Greenback Lane.
Reckless Driver Suspect in Collision
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the intersection with Chestnut Avenue. They found one person hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then provided treatment to the victim for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the incident. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded patient and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist who forced the Jetta off the road did not stop to render aid and fled the area. Officers forced a portion of Greenback Lane to shut down following the collision.
The Orangevale hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
