Orinda, CA (January 18, 2022) – On January 15, a suspected hit-and-run car crash occurred on State Route 24 near the Camino Pablo offramp.

The California Highway Patrol group reported an unknown number of vehicles collided in the eastbound side of the highway in Orinda. CHP logged the incident Saturday around 5:40 p.m.

When rescue teams arrived at the location, they found a Honda CRV with major front-end damage. The force from the impact caused the airbags of the car to deploy. Firefighters immediately checked the disabled car for occupants possibly trapped. Shortly after, officials mentioned at least one person sustained injuries as a result of the wreck. Authorities continue to withhold personal information on the victim pending confirmation.
