Motorcyclist Injured in Orinda Accident on Highway 24 Monday
ORINDA (October 31, 2018) – A traffic collision along Highway 24 left a motorcyclist injured on Monday afternoon, according to California Highway Patrol dispatch team.
The accident took place at around 3:48 p.m. near Camino Pablo off-ramp.
CHP received a call about a motorcycle operator who was struck by a vehicle on eastbound Highway 24. The car involved was described as an SUV, possibly a Hummer.
The rider was found lying in the center divider while the bike ended up blocking the No. 1 lane as a result of the crash.

Fire department officials along with the paramedics responded to the scene and attended to the motorcyclist who appeared to have suffered broken ribs upon impact.
The patient was apparently taken to the hospital for treatment and further evaluation. The name and condition of the victim at this time remained unknown.
Meanwhile, the driver involved was reportedly seen at the site following the wreck. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the incident.
