
Teenager Killed in Car Accident on Highway 41
San Luis Obispo, CA (December 14, 2022) – Police arrested 19-year-old Orion Messina in relation to a deadly traffic collision that happened on State Route Highway 41, the Paso Robles Daily News reported.
Our sources indicated Messina was behind the wheel of a 2004 Suzuki Grand Vitara traveling south on the highway. According to the article published online, approached Bear Ridge Road and entered a righthand curve. The sudden movement caused the vehicle to hydroplane, then crash against the hillside. Officials believed the Grand Vitara rolled over several times before coming to a rest.
The catastrophic incident took place Saturday shortly before noon.
When rescue teams arrived at the location, they found a person ejected from the Grand Vitara. Authorities later determined the victim was the 16-year-old occupying the front passenger seat of the car. Despite life-saving measures performed by paramedics, the juvenile sadly succumbed to their injuries and passed away.
DUI Suspect Arrested After Fatal Collision in San Luis Obispo County
Meanwhile, officials mentioned Orion Messina was later arrested for drunk driving. Additional details on the suspect have not been revealed thus far.
No immediate information was available on the relationship of the fatal victim, and Messina. At this time, detectives continue to investigate several unclear factors surrounding the deadly accident that happened on Highway 41 in San Luis Obispo County.
