At Least 1 Badly Hurt in Car Crash on I-5 Freeway Saturday
Orland, CA (May 22, 2021) – A car accident that occurred on Interstate 5, also known as West Side Freeway, resulted in injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.
On Saturday, at about 7 p.m., CHP logged an accident involving a blue sedan that veered off the southbound side of the freeway. Primary reports indicated incident took place near the Highway 23 onramp.
Responding emergency crews found the sedan with major front-end damage due to the force from the impact.

Paramedics at the scene checked the conditions of all parties involved in the wreck. The California Highway Patrol group later confirmed at least one person sustained major injuries as a result of the incident. Authorities continue to withhold the name of the victim pending confirmation.
At this time, investigators continue to work to determine exactly how and why the car accident in Orland happened.
