ORLAND: Weston Sites Victim in Fatal Crash on I-5 North Freeway

The crash which took place at 3:23 p.m. was triggered by CHP Officer Jim Gamble, 49, who failed to recognize that traffic was coming to a halt before barreling into the back of a vehicle triggering a series of chain reaction collisions.

Per KRCRTV.com, Weston Sites who was a passenger in one of the vehicle sadly sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

There were reports of other injuries requiring several motorists to be transported to hospitals for immediate treatment.

No further information was disclosed within the report.
