OROVILLE (November 23, 2016)- According to the Oroville Police Department, a man identified as Adam Phillips, 24, was the victim of a fatal accident Tuesday evening.
The incident took place at the intersection or Oro Dam Boulevard and 12th Street as both the Butte County Sheriff’s Department and the California Highway Patrol were dispatched to the scene.
Per the report, Phillips had been crossing the intersection upon being struck by a 54-year-old driver.
Phillips tragically did not survive the collision and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Meanwhile, the driver of the involved vehicle remained at the scene and was cooperative with authorities following the collision.
The Oroville Police Department will head the investigation.
