Major Injury Collision Near SR-149 Saturday
Oroville, CA (December 25, 2021) – At least one person suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on State Route 70 Christmas Day.
The California Highway Patrol group reported two vehicles collided in the westbound side of SR-70. Initial records indicated the crash took place near the transition road onto Highway 149.
Per CHP log, the force from the impact caused one vehicle to veer towards the direction of the center divider. Officials said the car slammed into the barrier and sustained major damage.
Medical personnel arrived at the location shortly after 6:30 p.m. After the evaluation of all parties found at the site, paramedics confirmed four people sustained injuries. Authorities mentioned among the victims, at least one victim suffered major trauma. Personal information on the injured parties have not been discussed thus far.
Investigators continue to work at this time to determine exactly how and why the car accident on State Route 70 in Oroville happened.
