At Least 1 Badly Hurt in Collision on Highway 70 Tuesday
Oroville, CA (August 3, 2021) – A car accident that occurred Tuesday on State Route 70 resulted in injuries, the California Highway Patrol group reported.
Initial records indicated a vehicle veered off the traffic lanes while traveling east on Highway 70. Officials said the car came to a rest after crashing about 20 feet off the embankment near Montgomery Street offramp.
The CHP dispatch identified the automobile involved in the wreck as a GMC Envoy. According to the log, the GMC sustained major front-end damage due to the force from the impact.

Shortly after 1 p.m., emergency crews arrived at the location. Responding paramedics found a female party trapped in the wreckage. Firefighters at the scene worked extensively to pull out the victim. After a successful extrication, an ambulance transferred the patient to a hospital for treatment of major injuries.
Additional details on the collision have not been discussed thus far. At this time, detectives continue to investigate the precise cause of the car accident on State Route 70 in Oroville.
