Woman Dies at Hospital After Collision at Nelson and 2nd
Oroville, CA (April 4, 2023) – A deadly pedestrian accident occurred in the area of Nelson Avenue and 2nd Street Saturday night, April 1.
The Action News Now reported a vehicle struck a woman at the intersection in Oroville. Preliminary investigation revealed the pedestrian was crossing in the eastbound lane of Nelson when a passing 2006 Saturn hit her.
Pedestrian Killed in Oroville Crash
When emergency crews arrived at the location, they found the victim suffering in injuries. Responding paramedics rendered first aid to the injured pedestrian, then rushed her to the hospital. Sadly, the patient eventually succumbed to her injuries and passed away. Authorities continue to withhold the identity of the deceased pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
No immediate information was available on the driver involved in the unfortunate event. Detectives handling the case continue to investigate liability in the deadly accident that happened at Nelson Avenue and 2nd Street in Oroville.
