OROVILLE, California (February 2, 2017) – A fatal traffic collision took place on Highway 70 Thursday evening, according to California Highway Patrol dispatch team.
CHP first logged the incident when a Honda and a Ford Mustang apparently collided head-on on the highway. The crash occurred at approximately 7:05 p.m., just south of Central House Road.
As per the report, fire department officials along with the paramedics responded to the scene and confirmed that at least one person was killed following the 2-car wreck. The name of the deceased has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
