Motorcyclist Killed, Passenger Injured in Oroville Crash on Oro Dam Boulevard
OROVILLE, CA (September 6, 2021) – A motorcyclist was killed and a passenger was injured after a crash on Oro Dam Boulevard in Oroville.
According to an article published by the Action News Now, the tragic accident took place on Sunday night. Officers reported the wreck on September 5 at about 8:40 p.m.
The incident began when an Oroville man was riding a motorcycle east on Oro Dam Boulevard. For an unknown reason, a car pulled out in front of the bike.
Motorcycle and Car Collide
Oroville police said the two then collided near Lincoln Boulevard. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and confirmed that the male rider died as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel took a passenger involved to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. The names of the deceased and wounded parties remains unreleased.
Meanwhile, police forced a stretch of Oro Dam Boulevard to shut down for hours following the wreck. The cause of the fatal motorcycle crash is still under investigation.
