The crash occurred at Lincoln Boulevard and Walmer Road when two vehicles initially struck each other head-on before a third vehicle became involved.
One of the three vehicles turned over and came to rest of its side.
Multiple injuries were reported as at least two ambulances were dispatched to the scene to treat and transport injured motorists to hospitals for undisclosed injuries.
Large amounts of both oil and gasoline spilt throughout the road.
Oroville police will investigate and have not released any further information regarding the cause of the collision.
