OROVILLE (August 26, 2016)- According to the Chico ER, Levonne Todd, 36, was seriously injured in a crash on southbound Highway 99 Wednesday afternoon.
The collision was reported at 5:45 p.m. and involved four total vehicles.
The crash was triggered by a male driver who failed to see that traffic was coming to a halt and slammed into the back of Levonne Todd’s vehicle which was a 1997 Chevy.
Todd’s vehicle was pushed into oncoming northbound traffic where she was struck by a Ford and a Dodge.
Per the article, Todd was transported to Enloe Medical Center with major injuries.
Preliminary investigative efforts have ruled out the potential involvement of alcohol or drugs.
Both northbound and southbound traffic on Highway 99 remained completely shut down for several hours while police officials perused the scene.
