Oroville Pedestrian Accident Oro Dam Boulevard and 5th Avenue

Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Oroville Crash on Oro Dam Near 5th

OROVILLE, CA (March 2, 2023) – A crash seriously injured a pedestrian near Oro Dam Boulevard and 5th Avenue in Oroville.

According to the KRCRTV News and Actions News Now, the accident took place on Thursday morning. Officers reported the collision on March 2 at about 5:30 a.m.

Oroville police said the incident happened when a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in the city. The driver hit the person in the 1000 block of Oro Dam Boulevard, east of 5th Avenue.

Victim Hit by Vehicle

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found the victim who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.

Medical personnel then rushed the wounded party to the Enloe Hospital for treatment. The name of the patient and their condition at this time were not released.

Meanwhile, police added that the motorist stopped and stayed at the site following the incident. Officers forced a stretch of Oro Dam Boulevard to shut down near 5th Avenue after the accident.

The cause of the Oroville pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
