Coroner’s Office Seeks Help Finding Family of Man Struck by Vehicle

FOWLER, Calif. (April 2, 2025) — Oscar Alcoser, 46, of Selma, died last week in a pedestrian accident near West Adams Avenue and North 8th Street in Fowler.

It happened Tuesday night March 25th, 2025, according to the Fresno County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office.

A driver fatally struck the 46-year-old man, who also goes by the name Jorge Vasquez, as he was walking in the roadway near the intersection, the report said.

Now staff at the Fresno County Sheriff – Coroner’s Office are searching for the victim’s relatives. They have searched numerous personal records, but their attempts to find his family members were not successful.

Meanwhile, the man’s body remains at the Coroner’s Unit awaiting a relative to release the body for a proper burial.
