Oscar Diaz Killed in Figueroa Street Crash in South Los Angeles
SOUTH LOS ANGELES, Calif. (July 23, 2018) – Oscar Diaz, 28, of Los Angeles, has been identified as the person who died in a collision Saturday at Figueroa and 108th streets, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff Coroner.
The fatal crash was reported about 11:40 p.m. on Saturday, July 21st. A speeding driver reportedly sideswiped a vehicle on Figueroa Street and then rear-ended the car Diaz was sitting in.
The collision remains under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department.
Traffic Accident Investigation
At this time, the crash remains under investigation to determine whether or not criminal charges will be filed. It appears that the driver who struck Diaz is responsible for his death.
